Hot tips to get the most out of your food jars

Best thing about food jars? Send leftovers to school or an great alternative when you're sick of sandwiches!

Let’s make those lunches stay warm, crispy and oh-so-tasty! Whether you’re packing nuggets, pasta, or smoothie bowls, here are our Mum-approved tips for getting the best out of your Insulated Food Jar.

Keep it toasty (or chilled!)

Pre-heat or pre-cool your jar

  • For hot food: fill with boiling water and rest the lid on for 10 mins before adding your meal.

  • For cold food: fill with ice and water for 10 mins before packing.

Heat it up prior to use! Warm your food slightly hotter than you’d like to eat it - it’ll cool down a bit while sitting in the jar.

Fill it to the top. The fuller the jar, the longer it stays hot. Empty space means quicker cooling!

Keep it fresh and tasty

Pop a paper towel on the bottom - it’ll soak up any moisture and keep nuggets or other crispy bits crunchy.
Pack smart. If you’re packing hot food, keep the jar separate from lunch bags with ice packs, or use a lunch bag without one.

Clean-up made easy

End of the day? Just pop your jar in the dishwasher and you’re done! Too easy.
