How to clean Sinchies
We've had a few enquiries on how to wash and dry Sinchies reusable food pouches. So we asked some of the Sinchies fans. Here are some comments from facebook likers:-
I dry mine by sticking them over the handle of the potato masher to keep them open
I leave mine to dry on the bottle dryer (prongs), then store in fridge
I dry mine over some spoons in a mug
I use an undies line ;-) Hang them up on the pegs and pop them in a ventilated area
Scewers in a mug works a treat for me! I have 3 girls so we use about 20 Sinchies a week
: Put a scrunched up piece of paper towel inside and leave them upside down on the drying rack
From Sinchies HQ
: We use a Sinchies drying rack
here at HQ or if that's occupied, we place them in the freezer. It's not often they need to dry tho as we usually fill them up right away.
Bottle brush here
Bottle brush for the pouch and the bottle teat brush for the spout.
If there's yoghurt dried in there from being in the lunchbox all day I rinse it under the tap with a drop of dishwashing liquid, and rub the sides together. Then it goes in the dishwasher
I rinse through the spout, then clean them with tupperware small bottle brush
As I tend to have 10+ going at once (5 kids!!) I found unfortunately the dishwasher wasn't that great, but a bit of warm water and detergent, pop the lid back on and give a little shake... Then to dry, put a scrunched up piece of paper towel inside and leave them upside down on the drying rack... Otherwise they get smelly if they don't dry properly and mine often get left in lunch boxes with yoghurt remnants inside!!!
bottle brush, then into the sterilising bucket, rinsed then semi dried, then into the fridge until filled
I just use a baby bottle brush then dishwasher
Hot soapy water and bottle brush then the stubborn bits I use a skewer to dig out the bits in side zip seal.... I always leave them undone and not in airtight container
I got one of the bottle brush things and it's so easy!
From Sinchies HQ
: We use a Sinchies cleaning brush
aka bottle brush with a twisting motion to get right down the bottom of the pouch. We love that Sinchies are all made clear so we can see for cleaning purposes - we'd hate to contaminate a little persons food!
