Banana Custard A delicious banana custard recipe perfect for littlies without any of the added nasties! Can be made with any type of milk, goat milk formula or breast milk. What you need- 1 1/2 cups milk, formula or breast milk
- 2 tbsp cornflour
- 3 egg yolks
- 1 medium banana mashed well
- 1/4 tsp vanilla (optional)
- 1 tsp sugar (optional)
- Measure cornflour into a saucepan.
- Add enough of the milk to make a smooth paste and then add the rest.
- Add the eggs yolks, banana and sugar and vanilla (if desired).
- Cook on stovetop over a medium heat constantly stirring until you see the mixture thicken.
- Remove from heat, allow to cool, transfer to your 1L Sinchies reusable food pouch and dispense it into your other Sinchies reusable food pouches.
- 60g beef, cubed
- 60g sweet potato
- 90g mixed veges
- 10g onion (optional)
- 1 clove garlic, crushed
- 1 TBSP cooked quinoa
- pinch of fresh parsley
- pinch of fresh basil
- Boil the beef, sweet potato, mixed veges & onion in just enough water for approximately 7 minutes or until tender. Saving about 1/4 to 1/2 cup of the vege water, strain the rest of the liquid.
- Blend the beef and vege mix with the garlic, quinoa, parsley and basil along with the reserved vege water until you reach your desired consistency. A really nice addition to this is a bit of coconut milk or cream.
- Dispense this into some Sinchies 140ml reusable pouches and freeze for when needed.
- 1 cup frozen triple berry mix (organic)
- 2 small ripe pears
- 1/2 cup natural yoghurt
- Place all ingredients in a blend and whizz until the desired consistency is reached
- Fills 5 x80ml and 2 x 200ml Sinchies reusable food pouches
- 500g chicken mince
- 1 clove of garlic
- 1/2 onion, diced (or you can use a leek instead)
- 1 TBSP flour
- 1/2 cup of water
- 1/2 cup of cream
- 1/2 cup corn kernels
- 1 carrot, diced
- 1 tsp dijon mustard
- 1 egg, beaten
- In a frying pan fry the onion until transparent. Add the garlic and chicken mince & fry until the chicken is cooked. Add the flour, water, cream, corn, carrot and mustard and simmer gently for about 15 - 20 minutes until the carrot is tender.
- Blend until the desired consistency is reached and store in your Sinchies reusable pouches.
- 2 strawberries
- small handful of blueberries (or any other berries)
- 1 banana
- 1 tsp chia seeds
- 2 TBSP milk
- Using a stick blender, blend the strawberries, banana and the milk.
- Add the chia seeds and pour it into your Sinchies reusable pouch.
- Leave it to stand for about 10 minutes allowing the chia seeds to soak.
- Serve cold
