Pear, blueberry & white bean baby purée (protein-packed & naturally sweet)

Pear, blueberry and white bean baby purée

If you’re looking for a baby purée that’s naturally sweet and secretly packed with goodness, this one’s a winner.

This Pear, Blueberry & White Bean Purée blends soft, juicy fruit with creamy white beans for a silky texture babies love. And before you question the beans … trust me. Once blended with fruit, they’re mild, smooth and completely kid-approved.

It’s a simple way to introduce plant-based protein and fibre early on - and it works beautifully for toddlers who already love fruit pouches.

Why add white beans?

White beans are the quiet achiever in this recipe. When blended, they:

  • Create a beautifully creamy texture

  • Add plant-based protein for growing bodies

  • Boost fibre to support little tummies

  • Make the purée more filling (hello longer snack satisfaction)

Ingredients

  • 3 pears, peeled, cored and diced

  • 1 cup frozen blueberries, slightly thawed

  • ½–1 can white beans, drained and rinsed well

(Start with ½ a can if your little one is new to legumes, then build up next time.)

How to make it

  1. Place the diced pears into a saucepan with a lid. Add a small splash of water and gently steam until soft.

  2. Add the steamed pears, blueberries and white beans to a blender.

  3. Blend until completely smooth. Add a little water if needed to reach your desired consistency.

  4. Pour into your Sinchies silicone squeezy pouches, seal and allow to cool before storing.

Storage tips

  • Store in the fridge for up to 48 hours.

  • Freeze for later (it’s perfect for batch prep).

  • Use pouches that are reusable up to 100 times to keep things practical and sustainable.

Making your own purées like this can cost a fraction of store-bought options - especially when you buy fruit and beans in bulk.

Make it your own

Want to mix it up?

  • Add a sprinkle of cinnamon for extra flavour.

  • Stir through plain yoghurt for older toddlers.

  • Use it as a spread on toast fingers.

It’s such an easy way to boost everyday fruit with a little extra goodness - without changing the sweet flavour kids already love.
