It’s that time of year again—Halloween is just around the corner! 🎃 Whether your family is getting dressed up for some spooky fun or staying in for a cozy night, this fun Halloween Grape Jelly recipe is sure to be a hit with the kids. It’s super easy to make, packed with flavour, and served in our Sinchies Halloween pouch for a festive touch. Get ready to whip up a delicious treat that adds a little Halloween magic to snack time!
Grape Jelly Recipe (serves two):
Ingredients:
- 1 tablespoon of gelatin powder (we recommend NutraOrganics)
- 3 tablespoons of water
- ½ cup of boiling water
- ½ cup of grape juice (or feel free to get creative with another juice!)
Instructions:
- Bloom the Gelatin: Start by mixing 1 tablespoon of gelatin powder with 3 tablespoons of water. This lets the gelatin “bloom,” which helps create the perfect jelly texture. Let it sit for 5 minutes.
- Mix the Magic Potion: After the gelatin has bloomed, pour in ½ cup of boiling water. Stir until the gelatin fully dissolves, making sure the mixture is smooth and clear.
- Add the 'Blood': Now for the fun part! Pour in ½ cup of grape juice. We love using grape juice for this recipe because its deep purple hue gives it a creepy, blood-like appearance—perfect for Halloween! Stir until everything is combined.
- Fill Your Halloween Molds: Carefully pour the jelly mixture into your Sinchies Halloween pouches. You can use any fun, Halloween-themed pouches or our regular ones—both work great! Leave a little space at the top before sealing the pouch.
- Chill and Set: Place the pouches in the fridge and allow the jelly to set for a few hours or until firm. Once set, they’re ready to eat! For best results, let the jelly sit out of the fridge for about 20 minutes if it’s a little too firm.
Happy Halloween from Sinchies! 🎃
