Homemade Honey Tiny Teddies Recipe

You have to try this easy, homemade take on Tiny Teddies - the honey flavour! These homemade cookies are quick to whip up and store beautifully in Sinchies reusable snack bags. Perfect for kids, eco-conscious families, and anyone wanting a fresh, waste-free snack solution!

Ingredients:

  • 125g softened butter

  • 1/2 cup caster sugar

  • 1 1/2 cups plain flour

  • 1 egg

  • 1 tbsp honey

  • 1 tsp vanilla essence

Method:

  1. Using an electric beater or Thermomix, cream the softened butter and caster sugar until pale and fluffy.

  2. Add flour, egg, honey, and vanilla. Beat (or knead in the Thermomix) until the dough is well combined.

  3. Lightly flour a baking mat or kitchen bench and knead the dough gently for about 30 seconds.

  4. Roll the dough into a sausage shape, wrap in cling wrap, and refrigerate for 45 minutes.

  5. Preheat oven to 160°C. Line baking trays with greaseproof paper.

  6. Roll dough out to about 1/2 cm thick on a floured surface.

    • Tip: If the dough cracks, knead it lightly until it softens slightly, but keep it firm.

  7. Cut out your desired shapes (teddy bears are always a hit!) and place on trays.

  8. Bake for around 9 minutes or until just golden. Keep an eye on them as they cook quickly.
