5 seconds / speed 8

2. Add the citrus

Add the peeled oranges and lemons.

Blend:
20–30 seconds / speed 8–10

3. Add the remaining ingredients

  • apple cider vinegar

  • black pepper

  • honey

  • splash of water

Blend:
30 seconds / speed 10

Blend until smooth and combined.

4. Strain (optional)

If you prefer a smoother consistency, strain the mixture through a sieve, cheesecloth or nut milk bag to remove pulp and ginger fibres.

5. Pour and freeze

Pour into your Sinchies reusable pouches for an easy liquid immunity shot or freeze into ice cube trays to create little “immunity bombs”.

Tips for storing your immunity shots

  • Store in the fridge for up to 5 days
  • Freeze leftovers into portions for later
  • Shake before drinking as natural separation may occur
  • Perfect for prepping ahead during winter ready for when someone gets the sniffles

Make it kid-friendly

This recipe has a strong citrus and ginger flavour, so if you’re making it for little ones you can:

  • reduce the lemons

  • add extra orange

  • add a little more honey

  • dilute with water or coconut water

Perfect for winter

We love making a batch at the start of the week and storing portions in reusable pouches in the fridge or freezer. When the winter sniffles start or someone in the family has a cold, simply drink an immunity shot each morning or grab an immunity bomb from the freezer and pour over boiling water for a soothing warm drink.

The ginger, honey and citrus combo is also lovely for sore throats during winter.
