Choc-banana pit stop smoothie

Every race car needs a pit stop. This one tastes like a chocolate milkshake, but it's just banana, milk and cocoa. It takes about a minute, which is roughly how long you have before someone asks for a snack again.

Makes: 2 pouches (150ml each) · Prep: 1 minute

Ingredients

  • 1 ripe banana (frozen makes it thicker and colder)
  • 250ml milk
  • 2 tsp cocoa or cacao powder
  • Optional: 2 tbsp yoghurt for extra creaminess

Method

  1. Add the milk, banana and cocoa to the blender.
  2. Blend for about 30 seconds until smooth and frothy.
  3. Pour into the pouches, squeeze out the air and seal.

Tips

  • Sweetness: a spotty, very ripe banana means you won't need any added sugar.
  • Storage: keep in the fridge and drink within 24 hours. Shake before serving.
  • Race day: let the kids name their pouch "pit stop fuel" and hand it over at the finish line.
  • Cleaning: rinse straight after use, then hand wash in warm soapy water with a bottle brush. Leave it open to dry.

It's made for our officially licensed Hot Wheels™ Rapid Racer pouch.
